What They Say About
Coach John Burns
|
“John
Burns was the epitome of a model student-athlete. He understood the
value of an education and was an honor roll student. Athletically,
John used all of his efforts to every bit of his ability to be his
best. His career started as a walk-on player and finished as
scholarship captain of a championship team. Every player on our
squad was proud to be a teammate of John Burns. John Burns will
always be successful at what ever he does and will breed success in
those around him.”

“First of all,
Coach Burns is a good guy. I like him. I see him everywhere- whether
it be Vegas, Augusta, Houston, Lawrence. He is always working, doing
something related to the game of basketball. And it shows, in what
he has done with his teams and players that he has coached.”

|
 |
“I
feel I know as much about basketball as anybody. I’ve gotten to
watch college teams practice, and I’ve cringed at some of the things
I’ve seen taught. I can honestly say, being at John’s practices once
or twice a week, never once did I feel that way. He’s teaching the
game properly.”

|
“In John Burns, we
have a coach who will consistently produce teams that will be
unselfish, filled with energy, embrace tough nose defense and value
solid ball movement and smart shot selection. Coach Burns’s team
will know what it takes to win.”
